Slide 2 - Tekstslide

Read the following text
Every morning, Lily waters all the plants in her garden. Each flower gets special attention. Every day, she notices new blooms, making her smile. All the animals seem to enjoy her visits.

Based on this text, can you already guess the difference between the use of "every," "all," and "each"?

Slide 3 - Tekstslide

All: Refers to the entire group collectively.
Every: Refers to all members of a group individually, but viewed as a whole.
Each: Refers to individual items within a group, one at a time.
Every morning, Lily waters all the plants in her garden. Each flower gets special attention. Every day, she notices new blooms, making her smile. All the animals seem to enjoy her visits.

  • "All the plants" is used to talk about the group of plants as a whole.
  • "Each flower" is used to emphasize individual attention to every flower.
  • "Every day" is used to highlight the routine, considering each day individually.
