2. Used to

Je gebruikt 'used to' als je iets wil zeggen over een ding of gebeurtenis in het verleden dat waar is. 

Vorm: used to + infinitive (hele werkwoord)

For example

• I used to read a lot of books. 
• We used to go on holiday every year.
• My sister used to play tennis. 
• Our neighbor used to work in the garden every weekend.  

Tenses

1. Present tense (tegenwoordige tijd)
2. Past tense (verleden tijd)
3. Future tense (toekomstige tijd) 

1. Present tense

Present simple - gebruik je om te praten over feiten, gewoontes en dingen die vaak gebeuren. 

• Werkwoord (+(e)s)

Present continuous - gebruik je om te praten over dingen die nu gebruik. 

• Am/are/is + werkwoord + ing

• I often walk in the park. 
• We always go to football practice. 
• Our school starts at 08:30. 

Present continuous

• You are talking at the moment. 
• She is working right now.
• They are listening to music.

Past simple - verleden tijd, is afgelopen. 

• Werkwoord + ed
• Onr. ww (2e rij)

Past continuous - was je aan het doen in het verleden.

• Was/were + werkwoord + ing

Present perfect - in het verleden begonnen, nu nog steeds zo.

• Have/has + werkwoord + ed
• Have/has + onr. ww (3e rij)

3. Future tense

1. Will + infinitive - aanbod & voorspellingen
2. Am/are/is going to + infinitive - plannen die nog niet zijn gemaakt
3. Present simple (future) - schema's
4. Present continuous future (am/are/is + ww + ing) - plannen die zijn afgesproken
5. Future continuous (will be + ww + ing) - gebeurtenis met een specifieke tijd in de toekomst
