Past simple 

We gebruiken de past simple wanneer we het hebben over acties die in het verleden zijn gebeurd en die klaar zijn. 

Examples

I walked to school yesterday. 

We celebrated Christmas two weeks ago. 

Past simple: was/were 

Verleden tijd van 'to be'. Het betekent was of waren.

You, we, they	were

I, he, she, it	wasn't
You, we, they	weren't
