In deze les ga je leren de hoofdgedachte te vinden.

We beginnen eerst met plaatjes. Kies het juiste antwoord, waar gaat het plaatje over?

1. Dan and Ed work together
2. Dan's shirt is blue

1. The bear has fun on the swing
2. The bear is brown

1. The kids are sleeping
2. The kids play a game

1. The wall is green
2. Stan plays ball

We kijken dus naar het HELE plaatje. 

Dus: waar gaat het HELE plaatje over? Wat gebeurd er? 

Niet: wat zie je? 

Je ziet meer dan 1 ding op een plaatje. Als je alle dingen die je ziet samenbrengt, wat zie je dan?

One day, a turtle and a rabbit decided to race each other. The rabbit was sure he would win. After all, he was much faster than the turtle.

When the race started, the rabbit began to sprint as fast as he could. Soon, he was way ahead of the turtle.

"I may as well take a nap," the rabbit thought. "That slow turtle will never catch up with me!"

While the rabbit slept, the turtle kept going and going. He never stopped, even when he got tired. The turtle reached the finish line while the rabbit was still asleep. The slow turtle won the race!

Wat leren we uit het verhaal?

1. Ga uitdagingen niet uit de weg. Probeer het.

2. Geef jouw doelen niet op. Ga door. Hou het doel in het oog.

3. Kijk niet naar anderen wat die kunnen of doen. Kijk naar jezelf en wat je zelf al hebt bereikt.

4. Soms duurt het wat langer, ben je moe, of denk je dat iets te moeilijk is. Geef niet op, ga rustig door en stop niet.
