Pictures and video's, manipulation and deep fake

Sedar is overleden door een noodlottige kogel toen hij in de buurt speelde. Via dit spotje wordt hij tot leven gewekt om in samenwerking met politie getuigen op te roepen de moord op te lossen.

Recognizing deep fake

• Does the mouth make unnatural movements?
• Does the mouth move in sync with the rest of the facial expressions?
• Is the person not blinking with his eyes?
  
• Are there ‘blurred’ pixels in the image?
  
• What else can be seen of the person's body, and do the body movements make sense with the movements of the head?

1. Come up, by yourself, with a useful/funny/positive example of using a deep fake. Write your idea down.

2. Explain your idea in a group of 3 class mates.

Trump's inaugurele rede en de grootte van het publiek. Die was in het echt veel kleiner dan die van Obama, maar Trump besloot om andere, gemanipuleerde foto's te verspreiden om de publieksgrootte beter af te beelden. In de video zie je hoe hij cropping liet gebruiken om de mall in een ander perspectief er ook 'vol' uit te laten zien.
