Repetition

Present simple: talking about facts/habits

- I actually like sci-fi movies

- she doesn't actually like sci-fi movies

Present perfect: talking about things that started in the past and are still ongoing (has/have + 3e in rijtje)

- I have seen like 200 sci-fi movies in my life (so far)

- She has never seen a sci-fi movie in my life

Vertaal naar het Engels:
- Zij kent haar vriendin al 5 jaar
- Ik ken hem van de middelbare school

Translate to English:
- Ik heb hem nog niet gezien, kan je hem bellen?
- Als je hem niet binnen 5 minuten ziet, kan je hem dan bellen?

Talk about facts/habits in the past

Affirmative: 2e in het rijtje: I went, we walked, she did

Negative: didn't + hele werkwoord (!): I didn't go, we didn't walk

Question: did ... hele werkwoord: did you go? when did you walk there?

- On the card is an answer or a question

- Is it an answer? think of a question that could be asked to get this answer

- Is it a question? Answer it correctly

- Watch out! the questions and answers should be the same tense as the line on the paper!

- You can move 1 ahead when you use the correct tense, and another one for thinking of an original sentence.

Adjectives are about nouns: this is my final decision

Adverbs are about verbs: I finally made a decision

Adverb = adjective + ly

badly - beautifully 

If adjective ends in -y, that turns into an i and then -ly is added

happy - happily

hasty - hastily

common adverbs here

Tell me something girl...

Prepare a talk about something you did in the past. This can be anything, e.g.:

- your last holiday

- an interaction with an angry customer

- What you to finish your last school assignment

- Use 5 of the adverbs you came across in the last exercise

- look up words you don't know

- write them down (even if you're like "duh" of course that's what it was)

- share them in next slide
