regel 2: Om te praten over toestemming in het verleden. Je vraagt ook met could toestemming in het heden, maar dan is het beleefder dan can.

regel 3: om te praten over mogelijkheden (of geen mogelijkheden) in de toekomst.

1.Om te zeggen wat mensen/ dieren/dingen (niet) kunnen.

2.Om  toestemming te vragen.

COULD (zou kunnen, kon, kan)

1. Om te zeggen wat mensen/ dieren/ dingen (niet) konden in het verleden. 

I couldn't stay out when I was young.

2. Om te praten over toestemming in het verleden (of heden). Beleefder dan can.

Could you watch scary movies as a child?

Could you tell me the way to the circus?

3. Om over mogelijkheden in de toekomst te praten.

We could go to the movie on Sunday.

Should maak je ontkennend als je zegt dat iets niet zou moeten > shouldn't

Have to (moeten, niet hoeven)

1. Om te praten over verplichtingen.

I have to do the dishes.

Don't have to (doesn't have to)

1. Om aan te geven dat er geen verplichting is.

You don't have to  worry about me. I will be fine. 

Let op bij de onderwerpen he/she/it of woorden die daarnaar verwijzen > doesn't have
