- use the pdf file of the book that I will send to you in Teams

- open the file, go to chapter 1, find descriptions

Students should be aware that the words that are used to describe Crooks and Curley's wife are not words that we can use nowadays. The story is set (and was written) in the 1930s.

How to recognize a passive sentence...

- A form of 'to be' (am, are, is, was, were, been)

- Followed by a past participle (voltooid deelwoord), like 'bitten'

- Followed by, for example, 'by a lion' OR

- If not, can it be followed by  'by zombies'?
