Will & going to & shall

Slide 13 - Tekstslide

Will:

- to express future actions or events that are not necessarily planned or decided in advance.
- It is commonly used for spontaneous decisions, predictions, offers, and requests.

Examples:
I think it will rain tomorrow. (prediction)
I will help you with your homework. (offer)
She will visit her grandparents over the weekend. (future action)

Slide 14 - Tekstslide

To be going to:

- to indicate future actions or events that are planned, intended, or expected to happen. It often implies that there is evidence or intention behind the action.

Examples:
They are going to travel to Europe next summer. (planned action)
He looks tired; he is going to fall asleep soon. (expectation based on evidence)
We are going to have a meeting later. (intention)

Slide 15 - Tekstslide

Shall:

- It can express future actions, suggestions, offers, or, in certain cases, obligations. In modern conversational English, "shall" is less commonly used than "will."

Examples:
Shall we go for a walk? (suggestion)
I shall be there at 3 PM. (future action)
You shall not pass without permission. (obligation, formal)

Slide 16 - Tekstslide

Present Simple:

- Used to describe actions that are habitual, routine, or facts that are generally true in the present. It is characterized by the use of the base form of the verb (e.g., "I work," "She lives") and is often used with adverbs of frequency (e.g., "always," "usually") to indicate how often the action occurs.

Examples:

I work at the bank.
She usually takes the bus to school.
The Earth revolves around the Sun.
