SOME / ANY

SOME en ANY betekenen beide:

• enkele
• wat 
• een paar

Some / Any

Wanneer some, wanneer any?

- in bevestigende zin: some

-in ontkennende zin: any

- in vragende zin any, maar some als je het antwoord ja verwacht

''Can you give me some more ice cream?''

We need some tomatoes.

Do we need any tomatoes?

Daffy has some money.

Patrick doesn't have any money.

Grammar

Many en Much betekenen veel.

Many gebruik je bij meervoud en telbare dingen. Je kan het tellen.

Much gebruik je bij enkelvoud en ontelbare dingen. Je kan het niet tellen.

Much gebruik je voor "uncountable" nouns = znw die geen meervoud hebben bv money

Many gebruik je voor "countable"nouns = znw die een meervoud hebben bv coins

The rule

Much is used for uncountable nouns : nouns that do not have a 

plural - money - water- air

Many is used for countable nouns - nouns that have a plural form such as coins - bottles - apples - tables- people

Uncountable nouns

Important!: Uncountable nouns are singular, they don't have a plural form.
