Je kunt een adjective (bijvoeglijk naamwoord) aan een noun  (zelfstandig naamwoord) toevoegen. Je zet ze dan voor het zelfstandig naamwoord.

Dit kan bij werkwoorden zoals to be, look, appear en seem.
