Step by step guide:1. First you will spend some time reading, discussing and studying the topic of Formative
Evaluation, both in and outside of class. You will learn the theory of the five cycle FE loop by
Gulikers & Baartman (2017).
2. You will then apply the formative assessment cycle in your own classroom.
3. You will be working on your FA lesson series in class and with your peers beginning on day one.
This will be a continuous process until the actual execution of your plan.
4. You will self-assess and receive peer feedback on your plan for the lesson series before you
submit your plan for teacher feedback.
5. A student sample of the final paper will be discussed in class.
6. For each of the phases that you describe in your final paper, think of the golden circle: what (did
you do), how (did you do it), and why (did you do what you did). Always support your choices
