• I can create different word types (noun, adjective, verb, adverb) by changing words.

Word formation

Adding suffixes to verbs can change the word into a noun (zelfst nw) or adjective (bijv nw). 

For example

to employ (iemand in dienst nemen) = verb

employer (iemand die iemand in dienst neemt) = noun 

employee (iemand die bij iemand in dienst is) = noun 

employment (werk) = noun 

employable (inzetbaar) = adjective
