Measures against floods

- Short term

- Long term

Short-term measurements:

- Constructing dams, dykes and retention areas

- monitoring the weather in the entire river basin;

- educating and training citizens (for example, evacuation practice etc.);

- safeguarding drinking water and food after flooding.

Long-term measurements:

- making room for the river

- reducing the enhanced greenhouse effect

- making a location policy
