“Teachers are extremely important because they have the power to change students’ lives by showing humanity and compassion to all of them, no matter who they are.”

Thomas Courtley

Thomas Courtley is LessonUp’s International Teaching and Learning Lead. A dynamic former faculty leader and teacher from South East England, with a true passion for humanities, pedagogy and student engagement.

For over 10 years he worked in a variety of teaching roles and, over time, as head of different departments. He worked his way up the ladder with dedication, seizing every opportunity to implement positive changes within the schools he worked in.

Thomas’ journey is a testament to his belief in the transformative power of digital tools in education. He champions the idea that technology isn’t just about gadgets; it’s about supporting teachers in engaging their students, and fostering inclusivity in the classroom.

Today's session was really valuable and I’m very grateful for Thomas coming in person - it makes all the difference. Thanks you for being extremely responsive to our feedback!
