says something about
1. a verb

  • ends with +e : terrible
  • medeklinker +l : beautiful
  • medeklinker +y : easy 
  • ends with -ic : fantastic

adjective + ly = adverb 

  • stongly
  • terribly
  • -lly :     beautifully
  • -ily :     easily
  • -ally : fantastically

Some have a different adverb:
He is a good boy.

Sometimes it stays the same:
fast, long, fair, low, high
That is a fast car.

He studies well.



It drives fast.

Place of the Adverb

1. Vóór een bijvoegelijk naamwoord of ander bijwoord.
You're going to become extremely popular.

2. Vóór het hoofdwerkwoord.
She regularly aks me te write for het website.


3. Aan het einde van de zin voor extra nadruk.
He grabbed the snake quickly.
