For today,
In pairs you are going to spin the wheel, in this wheel you find certain categories that are in your vocabulary as well.

If it comes on that certain title, one of you is going to ask you to make a sentence with that word in that category.

After that you take turns.

Let's get started!

1. Open up a word document

2. Decide who is going to spin the wheel first.

3. Number 1 picks out a word from the category.

4. Number 2 writes a sentence with that word.

5. Swap roles with your partner.

Try to number your sentences in a word document.

Share me two of your sentences from the spin the wheel assignment.

In English we have three types of articles:

The article: "The"

You use the definite article "the" to refer to a specific person or thing.

• The president gave a speech.
  or
• The books are on the table.

The article: "The"

You use the definite article "the" to refer to a specific person or thing.

• The president gave a speech.
  or
• The books are on the table.

You leave out THE when you talk about persons or things in general.

 

You also leave it out with certain buildings (hospital, church, school, university, prison) if you are there for its specific purpose.

A or an when do we use an indefinite article?

We use an indefinite article when you are not referring to someone or specific thing.

Why do we use an imperative?

The imperative is used to give directions and orders, and to advise and warn people. 

To make an imperative, you use the infinitive form of the verb.

If you want to make it negative

use DON'T or DO NOT before your verb.
