How to make an adverb

  • slow  ->  slowly
  • quick  ->  quickly
  • gentle  ->  gently (get rid of the e)
  • angry  ->  angrily (y becomes i)
  • easy  ->  easily (y becomes i)

  • examples: early, far, fast, hard, high, late, low
  • A fast car (adjective); eating fast (adverb)
