Uitzonderingen:

First - Second - Third (en twenty-first, thirty-second, etc.).

five - fifth 

eight - eighth

nine - ninth

twelve - twelfth

twenty - twentieth
(thirty - thirtieth, forty -  fortieth enz..)

Rangtelnummers (ordinal numbers)

Je kan zeggen:

1 juni

The first of June.

12 oktober

The twelfth of October 

You could say:

1 juni

June the first.

12 oktober

October the twelfth 

Two ways to say the date
