Woordvolgorde

WIE - DOET - WAT - WAAR - WANNEER

(She - watched - a movie - at home - last night)

Vaste woordvolgorde in het Engels, dan kan een zin bijna niet mis gaan.

Adjectives (bijvoegelijke naamwoorden)

Adjectives kun je aan een zin toevoegen. Een adjective zegt iets over het zelfstandig naamwoord. 

Je zet een adjective daarom ook voor het zelfstandige naamwoord. 

Bijvoorbeeld

He watched a funny movie in his room last night.

They bought a lovely dress.

We had a good time.

I went to a terrible movie last weekend. 

Uitzondering

Af en toe zet je een adjective achter het werkwoord. Als dat zo is, geeft het informatie over het onderwerp. 

Dit gebeurt vaak bij werkwoorden zoals to be, appear, look en seem.

Bijvoorbeeld

They look amazing in their new clothes.

I am great at doing my homework.

My brother seems focussed on his game.

The dog appears dirty after the walk.

2. We big in a live house

Choose the correct sentence

1. I watched a movie terrible
2. I terrible watched a movie
3. I watched a terrible movie
4. I a movie watched terrible

Choose the correct sentence

1. She looks in that dress amazing
2. She looks amazing in that dress
3. She amazing looks in that dress
4. She in that dress looks amazing
