In source 1 I can see a very long line of people waiting to buy a product that normally would be thrown away. This shows that there were food shortages in Germany during this period otherwise the meat would have been thrown away. In source 2 children are playing with money like it’s a toy. This is because of hyperinflation. Money was worthless because the government had printed money in order to pay reparations to the allies after world war 1 and also because the French had occupied the ruhr gebiet which was the German industrial region.
