Exercise 2:
Fill in the missing words. You can look up their definitions. Choose from:

negotiate - misleading - counter offer - proposal - compromise - term - non-negotiable

Slide 10 - Slide

Exercise 2
Tip 1. Never accept any(1) proposal immediately, no matter how good it sounds.

Tip 2. Beware of (2) misleading offers. Always listen carefully to what the other party is saying.

Slide 11 - Slide

Exercise 2
Tip 3. Never (3) negotiate with yourself. Once you’ve made an offer, if the other party doesn’t accept it, don’t make another offer: here a (4) counter offer is a sign of weakness.

Tip 4. It’s all about (5) compromise Don’t lower your demands without getting your opponent to lower theirs.

Slide 12 - Slide

Exercise 2
Tip 5. Just because it may look (6) non-negotiable, doesn’t mean it is. Many smart negotiators are able to name a (7) term and get away with it by making it seem to be set in stone.
