Quantity = Hoeveelheid

Kan je een woord "tellen"?

Example:

Countable (telbare) nouns

-Je kunt ze tellen

-Vaak +s, egg -> eggs

Uitzonderingen: -y wordt -ies

-f of -fe wordt -ves

-LET OP: NOOIT 'S VOOR MEERVOUD

Wanneer wel?

Example:

Uncountable (ontelbare) nouns

-Je kunt ze niet tellen

-Er is dus geen meervoud

-Vraag: Hoe doe je het dan als je wel wil zeggen dat er meer dan 1 is?

Uncountable nouns

-Je kan wel duidelijk maken dat er meer dan 1 is, maar daar heb je een extra woord voor nodig

-Two slices of bread, two stacks of money, two glasses of water
