Present Simple:

- bijv. je hebt al dingen geregeld

We are having a party next saturday.

- To be going to + hele werkwoord
- Als het plan er al was voor het gesprek dat nu plaatsvind

I am going to take lots of photos.
Are you going to stay in the tent all day?

- Bij een voorspelling die gebaseerd is op een aanwijzing

Look at that blue sky, it is going to be a lovely day.

Will/Shall + hele werkwoord
- Als het plan ontstaat tijdens het gesprek
- Bij een voorspelling die gebaseerd is op een mening
- Bij een spontaan aanbod, weigering, belofte, voorstel of verzoek
- Bij feiten
- Bij onzekerheid over de toekomst: I think, Probably, Possibly.

Are you hungry, I will get you some food.
The safari will be great.
Will you bring me some fruit.

Let op!: bij een voorstel in vraagvorm met I of We gebruik je Shall:        Shall I open the door for you?

There will always be another day.
I think I will stay home today

Conditionals:
- First Conditional
- Als de voorwaarde gebeurt, kun je bijna met zekerheid zeggen dat het resultaat ook gebeurd

If you study hard, you will pass the test.
If you aren't careful, you will hurt yourself.

- De conditional bestaat uit twee delen: de IF-clause, en het resultaat
- In de 'IF' zin gebruik je present simple, in het resultaat gebruik je de future (will + hele werkwoord)

If you spill your milk, you will ruin the carpet.
If he doesn't leave now, he will be late.
If we clean the room, mum will not find out about the party.

- Je kunt de zinsdelen ook omdraaien:      You will ruin the carpet if you spill your milk.
