                      For example:
                      cat - cats, book - books
  • For nouns ending in "sis" sounds like                                                                                 "s," "x," "z," "sh," or "ch," add "es".                                                                             For example:                                                                                                               bus - buses, box - boxes.

  • For nouns ending in a consonant + "o" like                                                                         "to", "ro", "cho", "go", etc. add "es"                                                                            For example:                                                                                                                tomato - tomatoes, echo - echoes
  • For nouns ending in a consonant + "y" like                                                                          "by", "ly", "ny", etc. replace "y" with "ies"                                                                 For example:                                                                                                               baby - babies, rally - rallies
