Vraagzinnen met to be, to have of hulpwerkwoord

• Vorm van to be, to have of hulpwerkwoord komt vooraan in de zin te staan.
• You are working here.
• Are you working here?

Vraagzinnen

Vraagzinnen zonder to be, to have of hulpwerkwoord

• Als er geen vorm van to be, to have of hulpwerkwoord in de zin staan, dan heb je een vorm van to do nodig om een vraagzin te maken. 
• De vorm van to do geeft de tijd aan. Daarna volgt alleen nog het hele werkwoord.
• We sleep on the first floor.
• Do we sleep on the first floor?

Ontkenningen

Ontkennende zinnen met to be, to have of hulpwerkwoord

• Je plaatst het woordje 'not' na de vorm van to be, to have of hulpwerkwoord.
• You are working here.
• You are not working here.

Ontkennende zinnen zonder to be, to have of hulpwerkwoord

• Je hebt een vorm van to do nodig om een ontkennende zin te maken.
• Na de vorm van to do komt het woord 'not'. 
• We sleep on the first floor.
• We do not sleep on the first floor.
