a) The active OBJECT becomes the  
     passive SUBJECT.
b) The active SUBJECT becomes 
     the passive AGENT. 
c) The preposition "by" is 
     introduced before the agent. 
d) The passive adds a form of "to BE"  
     + the past participle of the main verb.
