Agriculture formed around 8000 BC in Central America
Agricultural-urban societies formed in the Andes (Inca's) around 3000 BC and in Central America around 1800 BC.
The Mayans had a very advanced civilisation from around 200 AD onwards.
Later, the Aztec (Mexica) empire formed

Explorers

In the years 1498-1501, Amerigo Vespucci explored the American coasts in the service of Spain.
He found out that Columbus had discovered a continent that was unknown in the Old World (Europe, Asia and Africa).
