Prepositions (voorzetsels) zijn woorden zoals on, in, at, for, from, into, between, after.

Ze worden veel gebruikt in het Engels.
Hetzelfde geldt voor het Nederlands. 
Denk bijvoorbeeld aan: bij, van, aan, voor, met, in, op.
