Grammar: the conditionals
Conditionals are "if sentences" which tell us a condition and its consequence

Zero conditional:
If it rains, you get wet.
First conditional:
If I leave now, I will be in time.
Second conditional
If you lived in London, I would visit you more often.
Third conditional:
If I had won the lotery I would have been rich.

Grammar: the conditionals
The second conditional.

De second conditional wordt gebruikt als het niet waarschijnlijk is dat iets gaat gebeuren, nu of in de toekomst.

Bij de second conditional gebruik je verschillende tijden in de twee zinsdelen. Bij if gebruik je de Past Simple en in het andere zinsdeel would + een werkwoord.
If you lived in London, I would visit you more often.

NB. Don't use would in the if sentence!
