Reading strategies:
Exploring a text = Read everything that is standing out e.g. titles, subheadings, pictures, lists, diagrams, different fonts -> to  find out topic of the text. 

Reading globally = 
      - Read title and subheadings
      - introduction
      -conlcusion
      - ELZA: eerste en laatste zin alinea

Scanning = looking for specific information e.g. names, dates, numbers etc. 

Reading intently = read everything carefully. Look up difficult words

Soorten leestechnieken:

Uitstekende delen: titel, kopjes, ander lettertype, plaatjes, inzetjes (om onderwerp te achterhalen ivm ophalen voorkennis)
Globaal lezen (reading globally) = oppervlakkig, achterhaal je alleen belangrijkste info => tekstsoort

    Lees titel + tussenkopjes

    Lees inleiding en slot

    ELZA: Lees eerste en laatste zin iedere alinea

    Opsomming

Scannend lezen: op zoek naar specifiek woord of woordgroep (om vragen te beantwoorden)

Intensief lezen: heel secuur de gehele tekst lezen. (voor vragen noodzakelijk)
  • Zoek belangrijkste woorden/zin in iedere alinea
  • Onderstreep structuur aanwijzende woorden (First of all…, secondly…, which was followed by… , referening to, previously mentioned…, another…,
  • let op de schrijfwijze van de naam (lang/kort) en logische volgorde van de tekstopbouw
Zoek betekenis belangrijke woorden op

Scanning

Je moet voor een opdracht bepaalde informatie uit een tekst halen.
Je leest de vragen van een proefwerk of examen.
Je wilt weten welke informatie je in grote lijnen in welke alinea kan vinden
