Introduction
Great to see you getting started with LessonUp! We're excited to show you how to teach with LessonUp.

What is LessonUp?
LessonUp helps you easily find, create, and use beautiful lessons in your classroom. It saves you a lot of time, allowing you to focus on what truly matters: the students. LessonUp helps to motivate and engage students during the lesson.

We understand that you might not know where to start right away. That's why we'd like to explain the most important features to you. You can find more guides (including videos) in our Helpdesk.

New lesson 1/2





How to create a new lesson:

1. Go to My LessonUp.
2. Click on 'New Lesson'.
3. Give the lesson a name. 

(💡 Use a clear title and avoid titles like Chapter 1 or Paragraph 3.)

  1. The title of your lesson is used to create the first slide.

  2. You can work with didactic learning phases, according to which you can structure and build up your lessons. This is not mandatory and this option can also be turned on and off afterwards.

To add a new slide, click on:
  1. + Add OR,
  2. the + at the bottom of your slide overview.

There are different types of slides available:
Informative: Slide, Video, Image, PowerPoint, Website

Interactive: Quiz, Mind map, Open question, Photo question, Drag and drop question, Interactive video, Poll

Favorites: Select slides from your favorites.

1. Click on 'Slide'. (💡 With a slide, you can add text.)

2. Click on 'Create your own'. (💡 You can also add slides from the LessonUp library.)

3. A blank slide will appear. (💡 Click on 'Layout' to customize it.)

PowerPoint
Did or do you use PowerPoint? With LessonUp, you can easily integrate your old slides into your new lesson.

1. Click on the +Add button and then choose PowerPoint.
2. Select 'Upload a file' and choose a PowerPoint file of your choice.
3. Click on your uploaded file and select the slides you want to use.

Teaching 1/2





1. Click on 'Teach'.

2. Students can join the lesson by entering the code located at the bottom left on lessonup.app.

3. Click on the code to see who is already in the lesson or to remove someone from the lesson.

4. Close the lesson by clicking on the cross icon at the bottom right.

Teaching 2/2
1. The first time you click on 'Teach', you will first enter the lesson details that correspond to your lesson:
  • Lesson duration
  • School
  • Subject
  • Grade level

2. Later, you can adjust this at 'Options'.
Then click on 'Settings'.
