What are Conditional Sentences?
Conditional sentences are statements that explain a condition and its result. They use 'if' to introduce the condition and the result follows the 'then'.

Introduce the concept of conditional sentences and provide examples.
The Second Conditional
  • If it's not likely that something will happen now or in the future
  • if + past simple, would + verb

  • If we got the day off, we would go to London.
  • We would all be sad if Daniel left

ATTENTION: In this conditonal use the word WERE instead of was/to be
