Understand
In a few moments I will show you a word including its description. Your task will be to translate the descriptions into Dutch (alone or in pairs).
In other words: do you know what you have been learning or have you just tried to 'remember' the sentences? In that case your learning process will go slower than if you 'understand' what you have been doing!

Slide 5 - Slide

to pin: to make someone unable to move by putting a lot of weight on them.

Slide 6 - Open question

to shudder: to shake because you're cold or afraid

Slide 7 - Open question

to knot: to fasten something by bringing two pieces of string, etc. together

Slide 8 - Open question

apply-analyse
In the next exercise you will see a gap sentence and a some options. Only one of them is correct.
Try to find the right word (in pairs or alone) by analysing the meaning of the sentence and the optional words given.

create
Now the most difficult part! Writing your own sentences like last Friday, but more difficult.
You will have to write one sentence, using both words. I will add some time pressure! (2 minutes per question).

Slide 17 - Slide

Create
Keep in mind:
- Sentence structure: Wie - Doet - Wat - Waar - Wanneer
- You may change the form of the word (walk --> walks/walked/walking), but NOT the function of the word (verb remains a verb)
- If necessary: think in Dutch and translate that, but be sure you know the words in English.
- If you only know how to use one of the words, then use one (that's always better than doing nothing at all)
