Gerund
 a verb (ww) + ing = noun (zelfstandig naamwoord)
We call this: the gerund

shop (verb) + ing = shopping (noun)               = gerund
game (verb) + ing = gaming                                  = gerund
eat (verb) + ing = eating                                            = gerund

Pay attention to: 
want, promise, decide, plan, hope, ask, refuse, expect
(verbs of thinking, feeling, saying)

Infinitive is used as a verb:
"I need to run home as fast as I can!"
