Wat valt je op aan de 'adverbs'?

Bijwoorden - Uitleg Nederlands

Woorden die ergens 'bij' horen (vandaar 'bijwoord'). Het geeft informatie over een ander woord in de zin.

Vaak zegt het iets over hoe, waar of op welk moment iets gebeurt.

Bijwoord = GEEN bijvoeglijk nw

Een bijvoeglijk naamwoord zegt namelijk iets over een zelfstandig naamwoord (vb: de blauwe auto)

Een bijwoord zegt iets over een werkwoord, bijvoeglijk naamwoord of een ander bijwoord (vb: de auto rijdt langzaam)

Een 'adverb' (bijwoord) is een omschrijvend woord dat iets zegt over  bijv een 'verb'(werkwoord)  

bijvoorbeeld: I  can sing beautifully

Een 'adverb' (bijwoord)kan ook iets zeggen over een bijvoeglijk naamwoord:

Bijvoorbeeld: 

A big Mac is an incredibly unhealthy burger

(incredibly = bijwoord

unhealthy = bijvoeglijk naamwoord

burger = zelfstandig naamwoord)

En als laatste:

Een adverb (bijwoord) kan iets zeggen over een ander bijwoord.

Bijvoorbeeld:

He drives very slowly

(very = bijwoord

slowly = bijwoord

drives = werkwoord)

Hoe maak je een adverb?

door +ly te plakken
bijvoorbeeld:

That music is loud --> He is talking loudly

Please be quiet. --> and whisper quietly

• woord eindigt op -le  ->   -ly            terrible -> terribly  

• woord eindigt op medekl.+y    ->    -ily            easy -> easily  

• woord eindigt op -ic -> -ically            fantastic -> fantastically 

nog meer uitzonderingen 

Goed :        good – goodly    well 

hard :       hard – hardly     hard 

Snel :          fast – fastly     fast 

laag :          low– lowly     low 

lang :          long – longly     long
