Goal of today: Wat zijn comparisons?.

Negations recap

In ontken­nin­gen gebruik je in de te­gen­woor­dige tijd do not (don’t), does not (doesn’t) + het hele werkwoord.

Voorbeeld: I don’t know where the tour­ist of­fice is.

In de verleden tijd gebruik je did not (didn’t) + het hele werkwoord.

Voorbeeld: They didn’t listen to the diving in­struct­or.

Negations rules uitzonderingen

Als er een vorm van to be (am/are/is/was/were) in de zin staat. Dan zet je not achter de vorm van to be.

voorbeeld: I’m not in the mood to go to a bar tonight.

Als er een hulpwerkwoord in de zin staat, zoals can, could, may, might, must, should, will, would, of een vorm van to have*. Dan zet je not achter het hulpwerkwoord.
