Grammar
We will be doing things a little differently today!

Please look at the examples on the sheet that's been handed out to you. Try to figure out the similarities between the examples. Once you find them, find out how a certain part of the grammar is formed. (example: noun + s for plurals)

Slide 3 - Slide

  • Dutch doesn't have the 'ð' or 'θ' sounds so they might pronounce it as a 't' or a 'd'.
  • Japanese doesn't have an 'l' sound so they might pronounce the 'l' as an 'r'.
  • German tends to pronounce the 's' as a 'z'.
  • Russian tends to use a hard r and a 'w' instead of a 'v' or 'f' sound.
Grammar
Now that you know how it's formed, try to discover the rule for the grammar. When is it used?
