PRESENTATION

This term you will be doing a presentation in pairs
You have an idea for a new product and will be trying to persuade investors that your product is worth investing in. As part of this you will also be making:
- a television commercial (1-3 minutes)
- a brochure
The presentation should be 15 minutes long (including your commercial). That means that each student should speak for about 6 minutes.

Guidelines Step 1

Together ( in pairs), decide what your product is going to be. What gap in the market is there? What product will sell?

Check teacher approval beforehand

Guidelines Step 2

Decide what your target audience is. For example, if you are making special football boots, your audience will be different than if you are making a new tomato sauce. This will also affect the commercial you make.

Guidelines Step 3

Make a plan for your commercial. Is it going to be funny, serious? Will it use ethos/pathos/logos? What information has to go into it to make it credible (eg how much does it cost, what is special about it, etc.) When and how are you going to record it?

Guidelines Step 5

Prepare your presentation and make a Powerpoint, Prezi or Canva. Remember you have to convince your audience that your product is best, so you will have to go into the following points:
• What is your product exactly?
• Why does the world need your product?
• How much will your product cost and how much money do
          you think you will earn?
• What approach have you chosen and why? And why will this work? You could mention ethos, pathos, logos.
• Your target audience (as in the people buying the product)
• When will your commercial be shown?
