The Weather and the Four Seasons

There are four seasons in the year: spring, summer, autumn (fall), and winter. Each season has different weather, and people wear different clothes.

🌸 Spring (March, April, May)
In spring, the weather is warmer after the cold winter. The sun shines more, but it still rains a lot. The trees and flowers start to grow again, and everything looks green and fresh. Birds sing in the morning, and animals wake up from hibernation. The days get longer, and the nights are shorter.
People wear light jackets, sweaters, and sneakers. Sometimes they need an umbrella because of the rain. Spring is a good time for walking in the park and enjoying nature.

☀️ Summer (June, July, August)
In summer, the weather is hot and sunny. The sky is usually blue, and there is very little rain. Some places have thunderstorms in the evening. The temperature can be very high, so people wear shorts, T-shirts, and sunglasses. They also drink cold drinks to stay cool.
Many people go to the beach, swim in the sea, or play sports outside. Children have a summer holiday from school, and families go on vacation. Some people like to have a barbecue in the garden.

Slide 3 - Slide

🍂 Autumn (Fall) (September, October, November)
In autumn, the weather gets cooler. The leaves on the trees change color and turn yellow, orange, and red. The wind is stronger, and it rains more. Some days are still warm, but others are cold and windy.
People wear jackets, sweaters, and boots. Many farmers harvest their fruits and vegetables in autumn. In some countries, people celebrate Halloween in October. It is also the season of hot drinks and warm food.

❄️ Winter (December, January, February)
Winter is the coldest season of the year. In many places, it snows, and everything looks white. The days are short, and the nights are long. People wear coats, scarves, gloves, and boots to keep warm.
Children love to play in the snow, make snowmen, and go sledding. In some places, people go skiing or ice skating. People drink hot chocolate or tea to stay warm.
Many countries celebrate Christmas and New Year in winter. It is a time for family, gifts, and holiday decorations.

🌍 Different Weather Around the World
Not all countries have four seasons. Some places, like tropical countries, only have two seasons: rainy and dry. Other places, like deserts, are hot all year.

Each season is special, and the weather makes the world beautiful in different ways! 😊

Weather and Travel - Where Should I Go?
Read the descriptions of the three strange countries below. Each country has a very unique climate and lifestyle. Choose one country where you would like to travel and explain why.

1️⃣ Blizzarkia
"Welcome to Blizzarkia, the land of eternal winter! The temperature never rises above -10°C, and it snows 300 days a year. The capital city is famous for its ice hotels and frozen waterfalls. The locals wear thermal suits and ride on polar bears instead of cars. If you love skiing and hot chocolate, this is the place for you!"

2️⃣ Sunburnia
"Sunburnia is the hottest country in the world! The sun shines 24/7, and there hasn’t been rain in over 50 years. The average temperature is 50°C, so people wear cooling suits and drink 10 liters of water a day. The national sport is ‘shade hunting,’ and all houses are built underground to escape the heat. Do you love the sun? Then come to Sunburnia!"

3️⃣ Foglandia
"Foglandia is the most mysterious country on Earth. It is always foggy, and no one has ever seen the sun here. The temperature stays at a cool 15°C all year round. The people of Foglandia use special ‘fog lamps’ to see where they are going, and their national dish is ‘mystery soup’ because no one ever knows what’s in it. If you love spooky weather and surprises, this is your perfect destination!"

Global Warming and Climate Change
🌍 What is Global Warming?
Global warming means the Earth is getting hotter. The temperature is rising because of too much pollution in the air. Cars, factories, and cutting down trees all make the problem worse.

🌦 What is Climate Change?
Climate change means the weather is changing in many places. Some places get more rain, some have strong storms, and some become too dry.

🔥 What Causes Global Warming?
Factories and cars make smoke that goes into the air.
People cut down trees (deforestation), and there are fewer trees to clean the air.
Too much energy use (electricity, heating) adds to the problem.

Slide 35 - Slide

Global Warming and Climate Change
🌊 What Happens Because of Climate Change?
Ice is melting in the Arctic and Antarctic.
The sea level is rising, and some places may flood.
There are more wildfires and strong storms.
Animals lose their homes because their environment changes.

💡 How Can We Help?
Use less plastic and recycle.
Take the bus or ride a bike instead of using a car.
Save electricity by turning off lights when not needed.
Plant trees to help clean the air.

🌱 Every little action helps! If people work together, we can protect the planet for the future. 😊
