LO:  I can identify clothes that would be worn in different climates.

Weather is the conditions each day.

It could be sunny one day and raining the next day.

Climate is the weather pattern that is seen in a place over many years.

In the last lessons we looked at climate zones or regions.

What is the climate like in the polar regions?

The clothes that people wear vary according to the climate and weather.

Clothes made from animal fur keep people warm in very cold weather.  

Manmade materials can also keep people warm.

Clothes made from natural materials like cotton and linen help to keep people cool in hot weather and hot climates.
