AIM OF THIS LESSON

At the end of this lesson you can use some "adjectives" to describe emotions and personalities. 

What adjectives ending in -ed and -ing do you see on the first slide?
What do they mean?

What are adjectives?

Adjectives are words that say something about a noun (zelfstandig naamwoord) or a person. 

They tell you what colour, size, shape etc. something is, or how someone is feeling, looking, acting etc. 

Adjectives ending in -ed

Adjectives ending in -ed tell you how someone is feeling:  

Example: I feel excited or bored or tired.

Adjectives ending in -ing

Adjectives  ending in -ing describe something or somebody that causes this feeling: 

Example: This music is amazing. 

                    This subject is confusing. 

Explain why the 

-ed ending or -ing ending is used:

This lesson is interesting, so I am interested.

Many pupils think reading is a boring activity. 

They feel bored when they have to read something.
