IRREGULAR VERBS:
I thought about you all day yesterday.

shine -> shining (not: shineing)

de langer durende actie: Past Continuous      de korter durende actie: Past Simple

Twee (of meer) acties volgen elkaar op: Past Simple

Melany stood up, walked to the door and left.

My mother took the car and drove to the supermarket.

Twee (of meer) acties zijn tegelijk aan de gang en duren ongeveer even lang: Past Continuous

Mandy was taking a shower while Tom was tidying up the flat.
