Do you already know something about adjectives or adverbs?

Adjectives = Bijvoegelijk naamwoord

An adjective says something about the object or person that you are referring to (the noun = zelfstandig naamwoord) 

That is a nice green jacket!

Yellow = adjectives

Red = Object

In front or after the object or person

A sharp knife

That knife is sharp

Or a combination of the two:

That tiny knife is sharp

-ing

Have you seen that film? It's really frightening.

-ed

She was really tired and went to bed early.

What is the adjective in the following sentence? :

Anna is wearing a sleeveless shirt today.

Adverbs =  Bijwoord

Says something about the verb (werkwoord) 

I can sing beautifully 

Please, whisper quietly! 

How to make an adverb? 

+ly 

Loud>Loudly
Quiet>Quietly 

Adjectives turn into an adverb*
