SHIT- rule: He works every sunday. 

Negative

als er in een zin een vorm van to be (am/are/is) of een hulwerkwoord (can/should/would/did) staat, dan maak je een ontkenning door not (n't) erachter te zetten. 

Examples

- She couldn't prevent the incident

- Our punishing system isn't perfect of course

Bij have got/has got  gebruik je haven't got/hasn't got

in de overige zinnen gebruik je don't of doesn't (bij he/she/it)

- He doesn't have any poop bags with him

- I don't think scooters cause a lot nuisance

Exception 

in de verleden tijd gebruik je "didn't": het werkwoord komt in de tegenwoordige tijd te staan!
