Waarom noemden armen (poor) 's de 'theetraditie' 'high tea' in Engeland vroeger?

The poor (arme mensen) would sit at a high dinner table and eat a warm meal instead of cakes and sweets. Nowadays they call it 'supper' or 'dinner'.  The rich (rijke mensen) called it 'afternoon tea'. They would eat sandwiches, cakes and sweets during afternoon tea. They had dinner rather late 150 years ago.
