Focus on: adverbs that modify adjectives

When we use adverbs to modify adjectives we are able to make our language even more specific. Instead of saying "someone or something is X" you can now specify how X that someone or something is. 

E.g. the difference between "she is quite nice" and "she is extremely nice" 

Make two new sentences with the following sentence in which you modify "sad" with two completely different adverbs.
"The girl looked sad"

Homework task

Write a fictional text of about 300-500 words in which you use at least 15 adverbs that modify adjectives. 

Underline your adverbs that modify adjectives or make them bold.
