Irregular verbs

De onregelmatige werkwoorden moet je leren. Deze heb je al eerder allemaal geleerd. Ik heb ze nogmaals op Learnbeat gezet (zie studiewijzer).

We oefenen er nu vast een aantal.

Op de toets krijg je deze in een schema.

Active

Someone cleans the office everyday 

My boss doesn't ask me to work late.

Passive

The office is cleaned every day. 

I am not asked by my boss to work late.

Ezelsbruggetje

In veel passive zinnen staat bijv. "by him" 

Een zin is ook passive als je er "by monsters" achter kunt zetten

They like to drink orange juice.

The Past Perfect shows what happened first in the past.

Adjectives and Adverbs

ADJECTIVES + ADVERBS

Adjectives = bijv nw

Een bijvoeglijk naamwoord gebruik je om iets of iemand 

te omschrijven. Een bijvoeglijk naamwoord wordt vaak gevolgd door een zelfstandig naamwoord.

That is an amazing girl.

We all love that funny movie.

I think he is a terrible teacher.

Adverb = bijwoord

Een bijwoord gebruik je om aan te geven HOE iemand iets doet. Een bijwoord omschrijft vaak een werkwoord, maar ook een ander bijwoord, een bijvoeglijk naamwoord of de hele zin.

                                                                                    Mary sings wonderfully.

                                                     My grandparents talk incredibly loudly.

                            I am eating an amazingly delicious steak right now.

                                                         Hopefully, she will call me back later.
