Think about some of the games you play.
What do game designers need to think about? What makes a good game?

Discuss (in English) with your neighbour for a minute then answer on the next slide.

THE TASK
We are going to describe our game world and create a poster with text.

You will need to be able to use "descriptive" language and to use that you will need the grammar that we practiced.

Backstory of a game
Your game needs a backstory or "lore". 
Usually, your backstory is connected to your mission.

Example: "The game is set after a fluke storm appears across Earth, causing 98% of the population to disappear, and the survivors to be attacked by zombie-like "husks".

Which game is described in this backstory?

What do you think the mission is from this backstory?

CHARACTER BACKSTORY
Think of your favourite game character. Does it have a backstory? You can use it as inspiration for the backstories of your own game world.

DESCRIBING YOUR WORLD
  1. Use adverbs.
  2. You can use pictures as inspiration.
  3. Make full sentences. 

Example: The jungle has a lot of plants and trees, the flowers are beautiful and visually stunning.

Try to avoid using "premium" templates. 
You can also use paint or other software if you prefer.

If you run out of space for your text you can also write your text in a seperate document.

Your game has a name.
You describe the backstory and mission of the game (75 words or more).
You describe the game characters (50 words or more).
You describe your game world (75 words or more).
You describe one or more game world locations (50 words or more).
You describe what you can do at these locations (50 words or more).
You use some, any, a lot of and lots of correctly.
You use have to, must and should correctly.
You use myself, ourselves etc correctly
You use adverbs correctly.
Your poster looks nice.
