Ik herken de verleden tijd. Ik kan onderscheid maken tussen een past simple en een past continuous. Ik weet wanneer iets een momentopname was of wanneer iets langer heeft geduurd in het verleden.

Ik weet hoe en wanneer ik de past continuous en de past simple moet toepassen.

Past continuous

Hoe maak je die?

She was walking to school, when her phone rang.

I was drinking some tea, when my husband was working.

Duurvorm van de verleden tijd

I was playing a game in my room.

Ik was een spelletje aan het spelen in mijn kamer.

She was talking to her friend.

Ze was aan het praten met haar vriend.

We were cooking dinner.

Dus onthoud dit: 

Je maakt de vorm door eerst te kiezen uit was of were

I was

He was

She was 

It was

En daarna schrijf je het werkwoord op en zet je er ing achter!

Je was al tv aan het kijken op het 

 moment dat er werd gebeld.

Past Continous en Past Simple

Past Continuous = aan de gang in het verleden (waren aan het..., zaten te...)

Past Simple = iets gebeurde op een bepaald moment in het verleden
